Somewhat against the odds, 2021 has been a remarkably successful year for Shakespeare Live. We have returned to the stage with two outstanding – and very different – productions which have delighted audiences as they venture back to the theatre, and have kept the company’s reputation (and its finances!) in good health. As the year approaches its end, we would like to invite you to celebrate and mark our first year after lockdown.
AGM and Christmas social: Saturday 4th December, 12 noon at Cleeve House
We’re very pleased to say that this year we will once again be able to meet together in person to review the past year, to plan for the next – and to share some early seasonal cheer. Do join us if you can on 4th December to celebrate this year’s achievements and successes and to look forward to what lies in store. As in the past there will be a chance, after the formal business, to socialise and renew acquaintances. Cleeve House will provide hot drinks and everyone is invited to bring their own food, to share or not according to your own preference. We will be meeting in the Salisbury Room which allows ample space for distancing, and we do ask that members take a lateral flow test before attending, for everybody’s peace of mind.
We always like to have a spot at the AGM for news of events affecting members of the company in the past year: matches, hatches and the like! So please do let us know of anything you are aware of that we should be sharing with other members. We are also, as ever, keen to invite nominations for new members to join the board of trustees who do the vital work of keeping the company running.
