Merchant of Venice matinee performance

Despite the threat of rain, it waited until the very end of a marvellous performance so the wonderful cast of players stayed dry! Once again, I was lost in Shakespeare’s words and the way the players became the parts they played.
Thank you all for such an entertaining matinee performance

Sally and John Mackintosh

Merchant of Venice

Absolutely 5 star performance by the whole cast last night (04/07/2023). It was bucketing down with rain the whole time in Seend yet this amazing cast battled on regardless. They were word perfect and gave quite excellent performances despite being freezing cold and soaking wet. We had a wonderful evening and cannot thank you enough for your efforts and great work. Thank you

Hamlet Act VI

Such a clever conceit behind Hamlet Act VI. Full of wit and and fun, beautifully performed by a uniformly strong cast, this was a joyous evening. All credit to the Shakespeare Live team including the two writers who boldly took on the Bard with such style!

The Winter’s Tale

A Traditional style in a lovely setting with a mostly proficient cast in vivid Georgian costume. Hats off to ‘Young Sheppherd’ in particular with an outstanding performance filling the vast stage. Well worth the ticket price

Of Love and Laughter

An enchanting afternoon watching outstanding performances from 6 socially distanced actors.
Each actor was able to show the diverse personalities of the characters they played in the 6 scenes from different plays. The audience appreciated the excellent entertainment whilst enjoying picnics and being socially distanced

Of Love and Laughter

A brilliant socially distanced production. With so little live theatre available this year what a wonderful gem we were given. The talented cast, stage and house management made for a (very safe and) memorable afternoon. Will be back for the next one, I suggest you should be too!

Dogs of War, Frome

Very clever, well thought out, well stage managed, great fight scene and music- enjoyable and impressive But

Diction and voice projection poor and if you must speak with your back to the audience, you must be even clearer. This problem needs serious work.

Merry wives of Windsor

I thought this production was hilarious. It was your most enjoyable show so far. I am always in awe of the team’s talent and am looking forward to next year’s show already!!!
